Expertise

More specifically, expertise and practical experience of Staring Consult has been build up both in The Netherlands and abroad and includes:

• advice on strategy and policy development including alternative funding and delivery mechanisms applicable for institutions involved in agricultural services, in particular extension services;
• appraisal of agricultural research and extension systems, and formulation of programmes to develop these systems into more efficient, cost-effective and client-oriented services; institutional strengthening through (interim) management support; development and implementation of training programmes for managers, trainers and extension staff in managerial and communicational skills;
• promotion of private sector advisory services, and marketing of services to the needs of the specific target groups (market segmentation); development and preparation of extension tools, methods and materials;
• planning, monitoring and evaluation of extension performance and the impact of technology transfer.
